چکیده

Multi-temporal land use/land cover (LULC) change analysis is essential for environmental planning and recourses management. Various global LULC datasets are available now. However, they do not show strong consistency on a regional scale mainly time limited. Therefore, high-quality multi-temporal mapping with reasonable still demanding. In this study, using the Landsat 7, 8, NASA digital elevation model (DEM), of Tigris Euphrates rivers basin (TEB) was performed by random forest (RF) classifier in Google Earth Engine platform during 2000–2022. The spectral bands, indices, morphological, textural features were applied developed procedure. results indicated that proposed approach had accurate performance (accuracy = 0.893 an F score 0.820) good previous studies. feature importance evaluation carried out Gini index, indices identified as most important mapping. Overall, severe has happened TEB last two decades. Our revealed expansion water built-up classes while trees class experienced decreasing trend. From perspective, three main areas east south-east Iraq, north-west Syria where intense. These prone to degradation dust storms emission problems, it necessary take steps prevent changes them.

Land cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing

Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...

Remote Sensing Analysis of Land Cover Change

In Australia, remotely sensed Landsat data is routinely used for mapping and monitoring changes in the extent of woody perennial vegetation. Time series remotely sensed satellite imagery and ground information is used to form multi-temporal classifications of presence/absence of woody cover. Two broad-scale operational land cover change and monitoring projects are based on a series of algorithm...
